John Foster celebrates 50 years at ANU
On May 28th John Foster celebrated 50 years at ANU. While John graduated as a chemist, Most of his time at ANU has been spent tinkering with SHRIMPs (and running, and tinkering with Landrovers). The School had a special morning tea for John with reflections on his career by Trevor Ireland and Bill Compston.
Another year gone. More and more work being done on SI. Plans are being put in place for new development this year!
Apart from some awesome sulphur data from SHRIMP SI, we have celebrated the end of the year with Earth Chemistry party here in the SHRIMP building.
The building of SHRIMP SI is in its testing/commissioning stage:
18 February 2011
Today the SHRIMP Group is celebrated three major milestones:
- Decommissioning of SHRIMP I (after 30 years of service)
- Commissioning of SHRIMP SI (at least we have the first data from it)
- Bill Compston's 80th Birthday
