Okonomiyaki Night at Robyn-san's

While in Japan for the 2004 SHRIMP workshop, we ate a lot of okonomiyaki, a very tasty dish that is popular throughout Japan. Each region has its own variation of how to make it - in the Hiroshima region it consisted of fried cabbage, pork, bean sprouts, and noodles between an egg and an egg pancake, topped off with Okonomi sauce and Japanese mayonnaise. Mmmm!!!
In October this year we re-lived our Japanese experience, making our own Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki under Robyn's expert guidance. The experience was completed by Kirin ichi-ban beer, sake, and of course embarrasing karaoke photos!
