You don’t have to do a PhD on SHRIMP, but why wouldn’t you?

The SHRIMP forms the basis for many PhD research topics. These cover a range from instrumentally based projects, involving instrument modification, through technique development, developing new applications, through application-based projects where SHRIMP capabilities are applied to the understanding of geological problems. We have an outstanding record of placing students in to research positions internationally. With the current developments in instrumentation, we see that trend continuing.
