How to get to the Australian National
University
The ANU is located in Acton on the north side of Lake Burley Griffin,
just west of the Civic Centre.
Driving from Sydney, drive south along
Northbourne Avenue, turn right into Barry Drive, then left at North
Road. This takes you to the northern end of campus, near the University
Union and Sports Union. Visitor Parking is available in the pay
and display carpark at the end of North Road.
Driving from south Canberra, take
the Tuggeranong Parkway following the signs to Telstra Tower, then
taking the exit on to Lady Denman Drive, turning left at the end
of the off ramp. Follow Lady Denman Drive which converts to Clunies
Ross Dr until you reach Dickson Road. Turn right into Dickson Road
to enter the western part of campus. If you are coming via the Commonwealth
Ave Bridge, take the City West sign on the left, then travel along
London Cct, turn left into Edinburgh Ave, right into Marcus Clark
St, left into McCoy Cct and cross Liversidge St into Garran Rd.
To catch the bus from the City Interchange
to the ANU, take bus 34. It stops at various points along Lennox
Crossing, Liversidge St, Garran Rd and Daley Rd and returns along
the same route. Information about bus timetables is available at
Action Bus Services. The broken red line on the large campus map
indicates the bus route, and the red dots the bus stops.
Directions to the SHRIMP Building
The SHRIMP facility and RSES Building are listed as buildings 113
and 61 on the official ANU Campus map, just off Mills Road at the
eastern edge of campus. An enlarged map section is given below but
if you are unfamiliar with campus layout we recommend you also consult
the main ANU map
